A key pillar of Banff & Lake Louise Tourism’s Strategic Framework is to Strengthen Industry Alignment. This means making sure members to have enough information to support visitor-centred activities and initiatives.
For the last three years, Shift has been working with Banff & Lake Louise Tourism (BLLT) to refine their business planning and annual reporting process. The 2017 Business Plan and Plan on a Page have earned kudos from BLLT’s membership as well as San Francisco’s #1 branding expert, Denise Lee Yohn. The approach to developing the Business Plan is a collaborative one. Representatives from key industries and governments were engaged in a series of workshops and planning sessions to get input from the membership community and industry specialists.
This work is part of a Membership Communications Plan developed by Shift Consulting to ensure members know a sound business plan and long-term strategic framework is in place. Success is measured through the annual satisfaction survey, attendance at AGM and Business Plan meetings, open rates on membership newsletters and attendance at industry workshops.
