Understanding your business allows us to create and manage your corporate identity, websites, advertisements, signage, presentation templates, and much more. Through a creative brief process, we work to create or a distinguishable identity that is easily recognized and functional in all marketing and communications material—with a consistent tone, style and direction.

3. Digital support

Shift designs, develops, and delivers website solutions based on content management systems such as WordPress and Joomla. Our experience ranges from small start-up sites to complex sites with over 250 pages and e-commerce components.

We create and manage social media accounts for all of our core clients. This work ranges from planning and strategy to content management and tracking performance metrics. Our team administrates the creation and publishing of relevant, original, high-quality content. We also monitor client accounts on a daily basis to make sure we are responding to and reaching target audiences at the right time, on the right channel.

4. Primary research services to support communications planning activities

All communication and marketing plans developed by Shift are based on true insight. Trained and certified by Statistics Canada, we design simple surveys and assess and analyze this data to inform our planning considerations and guide our strategic thinking.

This work includes the design and analysis of employee engagement surveys for existing clients, community satisfaction surveys and surveys to inform development projects. For bigger projects, we sub-contract with the best research firms in Alberta.

5. Community outreach activities

Your stakeholders and neighbors are important. We regularly meet with members of our clients surrounding communities to understand how they are feeling, learn more about their interests and work together toward common goals.

We design giving programs aligned to our clients’ organizational objectives to help guide sponsorship and support. Programs are created with the community fabric and values in mind. With our help, clients provide financial, in-kind, and volunteer support to local not-for-profits, sporting groups, service organizations, festivals, food banks, student scholarships, and more.

6. Public relations

We enhance and build reputations through PR and communications opportunities that help our clients deliver on their mandate and vision. To help audiences better understand your work, we leverage traditional media, utilize social media, secure speaking engagements, write speeches, host special events and workshops, and find all avenues available to connect with your audience to build relationships that benefit all.

7. Media training and coaching

We provide fully-customized and thoughtful media training and coaching programs that consider the entire communications process – from building key messages to delivering them. Our training will prepare your executive, senior leaders, and subject matter experts to handle even the most challenging interview. Our experience has shown that teaching communication principles provides the confidence a spokesperson needs to speak concisely in any forum.

Taking a proactive approach, we help anticipate a crisis and prepare individuals or organizations facing a potential public reputation challenge. This work involves handling the media, identifying and training spokespeople, establishing crisis notification systems, providing operational advice, working directly with the community to mitigate industrial impacts, and more.

We love designing good questions and listening for answers. Public consultation involves both. Designing the right approach to consultation is critical to success. Being out in a community, providing education on topics that matter and listening to understand unique perspectives is the most important work we do.
