Sophie is a confident communicator and natural relationship-builder. As Shift’s resident Gen Z, her work revolves around social media management, writing and editing, and coordinating public relations campaigns.

Sophie’s skill and drive helps her achieves effective results for clients. She’s earned top-notch news coverage for brands, written tear-jerking community investment stories, and liaised with national media to help secure coverage for government announcements. On social, she’s designed compelling content, grown account followers, and reached thousands of users across Canada. And she’s done it all with enthusiasm, curiosity, and care.

As a graduate from the University of Ottawa in International Development with a Minor in Communications, Sophie brings a social justice lens to her public relations roles. During her degree she worked in communications planning, employee engagement, and media relations with RBC and the Government of Canada. Her experience in the private and public sectors led her to seek out agency work with Shift and make her first big move across the country from Ontario to Banff, Alberta.

Sophie is passionate about community involvement and active living. In her free time, you’ll find her skiing, hiking, or exploring the Bow Valley with friends and family.
